Sorry, I don’t wish my words to be twisted; therefore, I need to express myself with my mother tone which is English. Plus my lap-top is not working at the moment and my husband’s assistant is away, couldn’t get anyone to translate.
First, I have to say sorry about forgetting to add $120 into the account due to 貓薄荷 has purchased in the last minute and gave me the money in person; therefore, I would like to return $120 to 貓薄荷. (貓薄荷: I don’t need the bag back, just keep it as a gift to thank you for your GREAT job for fostering MiMi Jung. Please give me your account #.) Again, none of us is perfect, and people make mistakes, I did make a mistake, and I take it and “apologize” to ones that get bothered by this event.

So far, I’ve got three donators didn’t respond toward this PM, they are clh, pretty69 and oscarft. The rest of the resource donators and donators have agreed with donating the rest of the money to “Animals Taiwan” (www.animalstaiwan.org). At the beginning when Cookie (MiMi Jung) is adopted, I was going to give the adopters all the money since the sale was hold for Cookie (MIMI Jung), but they’ve only want to accept whatever that costs for Cookie to go back to the States with them; and they’ve informed me to donate the rest of money. Cookie (MIMI Jung) and Boo were going back to the States with their adopters this January 2006 for good, and that is why I’ve wired the money to them on 12/20/2005, but they’ve changed their mind to resign another contract with their current work. However, they’ve asked me if they should return the money. Since they are going back to the States for good in summer 2006, there is no need for returning. I will be keep in contact with them until the adopters go back to the States with Boo and Cookie then post the new health proves document and other possible receipts by then. Meanwhile, I have to tell everyone who is concerned and care for Cookie, she is doing well with Boo now, and the adopters adore Cookie very much. She is a great cat.
As for Sugar 媽’s question, well, Chibi and I did not want to have anything to do with X倫vet at that moment even though Cookie’s chip was inputted at x倫vet. For renewing, transferring and re-registering the chip “without” the original documents under Chibi’s name (since on 7/29/2005 the chip was only used for the health document and wasn’t register at all.) would cost $800. If Sugar 媽has more questions please call X美vet or 台中獸醫公會, thank you very much for your time.
Again, I am very sorry for causing so much trouble here, and I’d like to say to everyone to give can1002 and 貓薄荷 the most credits for their hard work of fostering of Cookie. Also, I APOLOGIZE for not responding on time and causing this event.

*若中途媽媽家已有貓咪，請記住在把中途貓帶回之前的獸醫院初診是很重要的。
【在獸醫院的初診】
1.有無外傷：在有外傷的情形下，建議FIV及FIP的血液檢測在外傷控制穩定後，原因是因為有外傷的傷貓會因感染所造成血液中的白血球數過高，血檢後的數字不標準。
2.檢查眼睛是否有紅腫及流眼淚，是否有感染上呼吸道感冒或貓白血病。
3.牙齦是否紅腫。(有可能性的蜂窩性組織炎或其他病毒感染如FIV)
4.寄生蟲，成貓及一個月以上之幼貓可以馬上驅蟲。
5.有無球蟲。
6.跳蚤，記住跳蚤的血更夾帶很多的病毒性之感染疾病，可以在獸醫馬上驅蚤。
7.耳朵，是否有耳疥蟲及紅腫的情況。有耳疥可馬上拿耳疥滴藥。
8.皮膚，是否有霉菌引起之皮膚病。可馬上拿藥或藥膏。
9.若中途貓是母成貓，請獸醫檢查是否有懷孕。
＊一般建議在隔離中途貓的第七天，若是一切健康的情形下就可以先施打第一劑三合一的預防 針，打完後還是要繼續隔離到二十天 。記住，不管中途貓是健康或有生病，都是需要隔離至二十天。

【懷孕母貓的照顧 】

◎照顧準媽媽
＊懷孕期：
貓咪的懷孕期平均是65天，最晚到71天，如果超過71天還不生產，必須送醫檢查，因小貓可能長太大了，
會造成難產。最糟的是，或許胎兒已經夭折。
＊預產期：
「出現懷孕徵兆時＋6週＝預產期」，如果不知道貓咪的交配日期，可用這個簡單方式來推算預產期。
交配後約第3週，乳頭會變成深粉紅色，周圍的毛變稀少，這時候加上6週的時間，約略等於預產日期。
＊照顧要點：
1. 懷孕約第5週，可明顯發覺腹部膨大，貓咪也會變得吃多、睡多、尿多（因為胎兒壓迫膀胱造成頻尿）。
2. 如果有嚴重的便秘或拉肚子，必須送醫檢查，因為貓咪排泄太用力會有流產的可能。
3. 在貓咪的妊娠期中，不可自作主張判斷病情，未經醫生同意的藥物，更嚴禁餵食，可能使胎兒畸形。
4. 貓咪懷孕生產是自然現象，雖然要多加照顧，但也不必過度保護，主人戰戰兢兢的，貓咪會覺得奇怪， 甚至不適應主人的改變呢！
◎營養補一補
＊產前進補：
1. 有些貓咪剛懷孕時會食慾不振，不久就胃口大開。懷孕至第3週以後，食量甚至會大增2倍。
2. 補充高品質的蛋白質、鈣質、熱量。例如牛奶製品、肉類、小魚、熟雞蛋等，拌入乾糧中餵食。 一份食物中，至少要含有30％蛋白質。
3. 或改用懷孕貓專用的乾糧，營養補充品就可減量，偶爾搭配肉罐頭。
4. 越到懷孕末期，貓咪不可能在一天2餐當中，就吃下所需的營養，所以要增加餵食的次數。 外出時留一碗乾糧或不易腐敗的食物，讓貓咪自由進食。
5. 其他的營養補充品，有小貓的專用奶粉、犬貓用鈣粉、嬰兒食品、醫生開的維他命等等， 甚至有人給貓咪喝雞精喔！
6. 懷孕期的飲食以營養均衡、份量充足為主，雖然要補一下，但不可以吃得胖嘟嘟，反而會造成生產困難。
＊產後進補：
1. 剛生產的兩三天，按照懷孕期的份量餵食。哺乳的母貓同樣需要高蛋白質、熱量。
2. 小貓開始長大，母貓因哺乳需要更多營養，食量甚至會比懷孕期多上3∼4倍，所以別怕餵得太多。
3. 給予新鮮充足的清水，不要把水盆收起來。分泌乳汁給嗷嗷待哺的一群小貓咪，是需要很多水分的。
4. 餵食份量的計算，最簡單的方法是觀察母貓的身材，如果有點瘦，就多吃點吧！
5. 充分的營養與熱量，比份量來得更重要。食物中如果含有太多無法消化的纖維質，為了吸收足夠的
營養，母貓只好拼命多吃，結果造成拉肚子或大便很多，表面上吃得夠多了，實際上卻營養不足， 這時要改善食物的品質。
◎準備生產箱
在生產前的1∼2週，貓咪會在屋裡徘徊，四處找地方做窩。最好在這之前就準備生產箱，讓牠先習慣。
生產箱的製作方法是：
1. 如果本來就有喜歡的窩，就以原來的窩改裝。
2. 最好用的生產箱是紙箱。大小以貓咪躺下後，四肢可伸展開來為準。一邊開個洞當門， 洞口離底部約10∼15公分高，這樣母貓進出方便，小貓也不易掉出來。
3. 做個屋頂，可蓋住1/3∼1/2範圍，全蓋式/可活動的屋頂也行。目的是方便隨時照顧，並遮擋光線， 暗暗的讓貓咪有安全感。
4. 箱底先鋪塑膠布，再鋪幾層報紙，加上一些碎報紙（或碎紙機製造的一堆廢紙條），生產弄髒時方便更換。
5. 可放乾淨柔軟的毛巾、舊衣服，貓咪覺得舒服，比較願意使用生產箱。
6. 將貓砂盆、食物、飲水，都移到生產箱附近。
7. 貓咪不喜歡箱子或放置的地點，要趕快更換，不可強迫接受，否則貓咪可能會抑制生產。

至於在x美獸醫的晶片登記是有換過來chibi 媽的姓名下；至於文件因為都是chibi 媽的資料
需要經過chibi 媽同意才能適時post 出來。
不知道是不是sugar 媽感覺x美獸醫有多收還是什麼情形呢?
每一家獸醫的做法的不同，我尊重獸醫的做法；我想sugar 媽一定是有正義感有愛心有道德的人，那在x 倫健康注射證明收到$500元；吉xx利獸醫只收 $300 元，那是不是也請sugar 去處理呢?

【出不生久的餵奶貓 】

餵奶貓需注意保暖，保溫工作很重要，三周以下的小貓無法維持自身的體溫。最好把貓咪放在提籠裡，或者箱子中，而且不要和其他動物接觸，因為小貓還未有抵抗力。 然後買條小電毯給小貓睡，再放幾條毛巾在箱裡。溫度請保持在29.4 到32.2度。
有點很重要，小貓如果很泠的時候，不要餵他們吃東西，因為他們根本無法消化食物。如果你想餵他們的話，可以用針筒餵濃度5%的葡萄糖水給小貓吃。
【獸醫檢查 】
小貓常可能會有脫水情形發生，如果有的話，醫生會適當地作皮下注射，改善脫水狀況。去醫院時，你可以帶著小貓的便便給醫生檢查，看看是否有體內寄生蟲。同時醫生也可以檢判這隻小貓的存活率有多大。 如果小貓有跳蚤的話，醫生也會針對小貓的身體狀況，決定如何進行除蚤的工作。
【小貓可能生病了 】
健康的小貓在出生後的前兩周，應該有90%的時間在睡覺。如果他們一直在叫，那就有可能生病，或是喝不夠奶水。初出的小貓最容易受到感染，可能24小時內就逝世了。
【餵貓咪吃東西 】
餵小貓吃東西前，得先準備餵食工具，一般寵物店應該可以找到。牛奶對於小貓來說，並不具備足夠的養份，最好是使用貓奶。你可以到寵物店或獸醫那裡，買到幼貓奶粉。
餵小貓吃東西，最大的困難就在於，你必須要每隔三∼四小時，就要準時餵食，奶水的溫度要在35度到37.8度之間。小貓二周大後，可以改為每隔四到六小時餵食。等到三周大後，一直到斷奶前，餵奶的時間為每隔六∼八小時餵一次。要注意奶嘴的開口夠大，可以讓小貓順利容易的吸食奶水。使用奶瓶前，要記得作好消毒清潔工作，包括清洗奶瓶及洗手等。在餵貓咪時，最好在下面墊塊乾淨的布，天天換洗較佳，因為有些細菌會在衣物中滋生。
餵食姿勢很重要，只要希望能以一手握好貓咪，讓他們回歸好像在吸母貓奶頭的姿勢為佳，將奶瓶斜傾45度角，不要讓小貓喝到空氣。請看下圖，參考網站： http://ukrn.topcities.com/
餵奶的份量，須要測量小貓體重，及貓奶粉的使用說明，餵食足夠的貓奶。下面有個小表，請參考。

如果小貓比較瘦弱的話，可以多餵一點份量的奶水。小貓吃飽的話，嘴邊都會有點奶泡，肚子那兒鼓鼓的。當貓咪打飽嗝時，你可以把小貓放到肩膀上，輕拍貓咪的背部，幫助他們把氣吐出來。小貓吃飽後，就讓他們快樂的去睡覺吧！
等到小貓不再吸奶瓶，開始會咬奶嘴時，那你可以餵它吃罐頭了。
幫助小貓排泄便便
如果你有看過母貓和小貓相處的話，應該知道母貓都會用舌頭去舔小貓的屁屁。母貓這樣做的目地是為了要刺激小的腸及膀胱，然後小貓才會排便。所以當代理咪媽的你，必須也要做這件事，請用棉花棒，或是紙巾沾溫水，慢慢按摩小貓的屁屁附近，不要太太力。如果小貓拉肚子的話，就用溫水給擦掉，要記得保持小貓的身體清潔。
照理，每次按摩後，小貓應該都會尿尿。一天至少排便一次。正常的便便是棕色，固體有形的。正常的尿尿是黃色的。四周大的小貓，就可以開始訓練它去使用貓砂便盤了。只要小貓用餐過後，就放點小貓的便便在便盤裡，然後把小貓帶到便盤裡嗯嗯，讓他明白這是用來便便的地方。你要教他使用，不然小貓不會上喵砂。
【JoAnne的經驗分享】
餵奶貓通常會因為太早離開貓媽而有所謂的分離焦慮症，餵奶貓會常常的喵喵叫，建議可以放一個比他們大的填充玩具或小鬧鐘用毛巾包起來，餵奶貓會把填充玩具或小鬧鐘當成是貓貓，情緒上就會穩定許多。

I'd like to say "thank you" to Chibi made such a kind offer to take care of Cookie (Mi Mi Jung)at that moment.
During Chibi's carring, Cookie (Mi Mi Jung) has completed her health prove document ($500) and the microchip ($300) on 7/29/2005. Cookie(Mi Mi Jung) also had the chip registered under Chibi's name at the other vet, the registration process cost $800 on 8/3/2005.

Chibi was fostering Cookie (Mi Mi Jung) for couple of weeks then Cookie (Mi Mi Jung) came to my place for a short while for the adopters to come visit. There was one lady in Toronto willing to adopt Cookie (Mi Mi Jung) at the time but she was not in a good shape to travel such long distance from Canada to Taiwan. However, there were 2 couples each from NZ and the States thinking about adopting Cookie(Mi Mi Jung). They all work in Taiwan but the NZ couple was expecting a new born baby therefore the couple from the States made the best. Also the couple from the States already has a cat named Boo, they were looking for a 2nd cat to company Boo. Cookie(Mi Mi Jung) and Boo are pals now, they play, eat, sleep together. They both put on weight and the couple from the States love them a lot. The adopters would like to say "Thanks" for those who was involved with saving Cookie(Mi Mi Jung). The following is a letter from the adopters:

Hello JoAnne-
Cookie and Boo definitely have differing views. But I truly think Boo is just scared of Cookie. I think this weekend we will try to put them in separate cages side-by-side and allow them to be close with out touching or danger. Maybe Boo will get used to Cookie that way. We'll see if it helps. They do fine most of the time, don't get me wrong, but when Cookie does chase Boo it is quite the episode. However, we are really pleased with Cookie because she is such a good cat. We don't think missing one leg really bother us or her life.
I am sure we will have more pictures of Cookie soon. But here are the ones I have....(The day she came home...a bit scared and found refuge in the sink.)

12/20/2005 took $1,600 for health prove document ($500) and the microchip ($300) on 7/29/2005. microchip registration process cost $800 on 8/3/2005.
12/20/2005 wired $10,017 for Cookie's Air Fair (The adopters will be taking SG about $6800 & UA about $80USD back to the States.)
Therefore, there is $10,048 plus 12/21/2005 interests $39 = $10,087 in the account. This will be donate to Animal Taiwan(www.animalstaiwan.org) for those dogs or cats that needs a wheel chair if resoorse donaters and people who purchsed the goods have no problems with it then I'll be wiring the money this Friday..
